It is well known in the alpaca industry that if you want to make
your female more marketable, breed her to a herdsire with a very
recognizable pedigree. Copper not only has the looks that turns
heads, he also has a very impressive lineage. With his genetics
you'll have no problem selling your girl.
Copper's sire is a full Accoyo, medium fawn Snowmass Legacy's
Golden Boy. The name "Snowmass" speaks for itself and Golden Boy is
gaining a reputation of his own from his prodigy in the show ring.
Copper's grandsire, 4Peruvian Legacy 6016 is a full Accoyo who
sold for $750,000 half interest, making him one of the highest
selling alpacas. Legacy is a stunning male which throws terrific
babies.
Copper's Dam was sired by PPeruvian Guellermo, one of the premier
sires in North America producing many show champions. He was
imported and stood at Alpacas of America in Washington for many
years. He was sold to a farm in Alberta, Canada in 1998 which is why
Copper is co-registered in the USA and Canada. This is an added
bonus because Copper's prodigy can also be marketed in Canada. With
the Canadian exchange at par you can expect a lot of Canadian
interest in Copper's offspring.
When Copper became available I didn't need another light colored
herdsire but I think you will agree, with his pedigree, handsome
looks and easy going personality, breeding to Copper makes good sense
and was a great investment in the future. |
